i saw the iraqi news retransmitted via al jazeera, it was pretty brutal. there were 5 american POWS and scenes from a morgue. i posted on this, but i´m not telling u for a plug, just merely that i blv people need to know

The Iraqis know they can’t take us head on, so they’re fighting us the only way they have any chance of hurting us even a little. They take us from the rear, they imprison our support troops, they torture and execute those troops and let us and the wolrd (especially the Muslim world) know that they’re doing it.

Doing these things they breifly increase the morale of their own troops. “See, the Americans can be beaten!”

They also attempt to work against American public opinion.

They can’t win this way, but they can prolong things. Why would they work to lengthen a war they cannot win? Why not instead turn upon the Regime that is dragging them all down?

I still believe the answer to this is that Saddam (or more likely Qusay, now), has plans with Terrorists, who he has handed out NBC weaponry to. He hopes that if he waits until the appointed hour of their attacks on us, that we will cave in and go away, blooded and beaten, leaving him in power.

If so, he thinks wrong. If we get terrorist attacks during this fight, after Iraq has done all this cr@p, I think the gloves come off and things get real ugly real fast for the Ba’athists.
