SINCE WHEN ARE ANTI-WAR ACTIVISTS DUBBED MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY?

When their brother is waffle-powered Howard Dean. Go read the post I just linked, and follow on to the NY Times story that it links about Dean's absurd and slippery claim that his anti-war activist brother was killed or went missing while in uniform for the US military in Vietnam, and then wonder about the character of a man who will make such claims.

Bryan, please don’t use ‘Dean’ and ‘character’ in the same paragraph. It lowers your credibility.

Dean’s another of the ‘college-educated’ urban paragons who take our standard of living for granted, while keeping up a social barrier against those who enable it by working for a living, particularly military personnel. On account of that social shield, it’s likely that he doesn’t personally know anyone serving. Among the lefties who live in the NPR ghettos around State capitals and universities, that’s the normal state of affairs.

But he has to be hip! Nothing is more hip in said ghettos than their ‘60s political triumphs over US military efforts in SE Asia. Enter the brother, personally swallowed up in the quagmire as an anti-military ‘fact-finder’ with activist credentials. Well, there’s Mr. Dean’s connection - doesn’t anti-military have the word ‘military’ in it?

Makes me wonder anew what exactly Coward has hidden away in those sealed records. Obviously we can’t trust him to tell us the truth on the matter.
