Charred Churches in Santa Cruz

I’ve written before of the fine upstanding crazytown of Santa Cruz, CA, (a “nuclear-free zone.”) Someone is going around trying to make it a church-free zone as well. The three amateurish arson attempts described in this Mercury-News piece follow “a recent string of church vandalism in the city, according to police.”

JYB sources in Santa Cruz report the vandals actually planned to light enormous fires of Oaxacan cannabis in each church’s nave, ascend into the steeple, and use it as a gigantic full-body bong.
