Reagan's eleventh commandment, honored more in the breach these days, is "thou shalt not speak ill of thy fellow Republican". But his avatar, Dick Cheney, finds this commandment burdensome when discussing Senator Chuck Hagel.
Apparently the Vice President doesn't share Peggy Noonan's high esteem for the "courageous" Nebraska Senator.
But he hopes to overcome their animosities in a upcoming rock-climbing expedition with Hagel on the grueling, dangerous Swiss Matterhorn. Cheney insists he will personally tie all the knots and inspect all the equipment to ensure Hagel's safety.
