Back Home Again
Though my posting here will be pretty erratic, my gig at Michellemalkin.com is all done. That was fun.
More importantly, Michelle and JYB Founder Bryan are back safely from Iraq, with much to tell us. Keep your eyes peeled.

Having a hard time getting to your blog for the past week. Am I the only one?
Isn’t the headline wrong for your post over at Malkin’s blog about the story in the UK Telegraph that the insurgents are using Google Maps to target British troops?

“Insurgents found with Google Earth maps” is the opposite of what the story reports.
Scott: From the article: “Documents seized during raids on the homes of insurgents last week uncovered print-outs from photographs taken from Google.” Insurgents were found with—i.e., in possession of, Google maps which they (the insurgents) were using to target British troops. I can see where it could be confusing (and commenter Anwyn told me as much) but I think it’s accurate.
Geoff: You haven’t missed much here, but are you using Firefox? Someone else said they were having trouble with that because of the Crispads.
To which I say, serves you right for using a hippie browser.
No, seriously, though, I’ll look into that now that I’m done at Malkin’s and might actually be posting stuff here.
Yes, I’m using Firefox and it seems to hang up on some ad load. Used to use Netscape, but their latest version ticked me off so I went to Firefox.
Of course using IE is out of the question.
I’m having trouble loading JYB, and I’m not using FireFox any more, but I get essentially the same results—it just takes a bit of extra time and the side loads by parts, first left sidebar, then right, then content. It’s a weird, recent phenomenon.
I will try to get some time this week to look at it. I need to upgrade the site internals in various ways. Maybe when MT 3.34 is released in the next week or two.
