I just read your comments regarding KSFO’s blast back at lying leftist bloggers smearing them in missives to their advertisers. Sez you regarding Lee Rodgers’ remark about torturing and executing the lifelong felon guy, “There’s nothing conservative about that sadistic, statist fantasy and as a conservative myself I don’t like being associated with it.”
Excuse me…who is it that ‘associated you with it’? Did Lee Rodgers say he was speaking for JYB and See-Dubya? Did he say he was speaking for conservatives everywhere? No on both counts. So what are you talking about?
Let me remind you that the only reason why I am aware of your opinion of this controversy is because I am a daily reader of Michelle Malkin’s blog. I don’t agree with Michelle about all matters conservative, and I am confident that you know that many conservatives don’t share the views she forthrightly expressses toward immigration and
the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. Using your “logic,” however, people have even more reason to associate you with Michelle’s more controversial views because of all the people in the world, you are one of the few trusted with her website while she is away.
Such persons may assume that you must be a racist, since you are Special Guest Starring on a site that links to VDARE, host to Steve Sailer. And people who might leap to the conclusion that because you are a friend of Michelle’s, you must be praying for the day when Muslims are interned. Talk about “statist fantasy”!
Would that be fair to you if people assumed such things? Personally, I think not. But judging from your behavior, you just might think it would be fair.
According to you, the big story isn’t the smearing of the on-air folks at KSFO, it’s Disney/ABC’s “ham-handed” copyright warning (gosh darn those laws, sometimes people want to insist they be enforced!) and the fact that you don’t want people thinking Lee Rodgers speaks for you. The thrust of your piece is joining in with the Starks and Spockos, whom I’m sure are appreciative of the aid and comfort. Heckuva job.
Well, I’m writing to tell you: Don’t worry your pretty little head off, honey — If you are under the impression you are “associated” with a local legend like Lee Rodgers, you’re out of your mind. People would have had to know who you even are first.
