Cult of the Virgin

I thought this was funny: in a debate between conservative visions of chastity on Dawn Eden's site, former Edwards campaign blogger Amanda Marcotte popped up to sort of agree with Dawn. Marcotte then chews out the "virginity fetishists" who condemn "[H]orseback riding, tampons and acting on stage" as immodest.

And Dawn wonders, oh, are these the "virginity fetishists" Marcotte means? (More links in Dawn's post.)

Ah well, I suppose virginity is all in the eye of the beholder these days.
