Merle Haggard's Breaking my Heart
This sounds like a great concert, except for this:
At one point, Haggard detected a bit of smarm in his voice as he bantered with the crowd. ``Did that sound like O'Reilly?'' he asked the band.Worst man in the world? Is Merle some sort of Olbermann fan? O'Reilly's not my favorite, but that's just a weird shot to take out of the blue like that.``That was my impression of the worst man in the world,'' Haggard told the crowd to enthusiastic applause. ``Bill O'Reilly.''
Unlike the Dixie Chicks, Merle has talent and to spare, and I'll still turn up the radio any time he comes on--even if he does make Bush jokes in his concerts. But I'd rather he didn't.
