Randy Mandy from Pandy: Jeebus is Dandy

Whatever the fate of Amanda Marcotte's employment with the John Edwards campaign, Dawn Eden has a great (and very restrained, given all the names Marcotte has called her) little observation about Marcotte's defense that all her furious blasphemy, profanity, and contempt for Christianity and its "Godbag" proponents were just satire:

I guess it's nice to know that all those times her blog referred to Our Lord and Saviour as "Jeebus" — in 114 blog entries to date (the most recent last Sunday) — she was only kidding.

A search of Pandagon archives shows that Amanda has yet to devise a similarly ha-ha name for Mohammed. Well, give her time; she's been on the Edwards campaign for only a week and a half.

I said in a comment on Hot Air somewhere that Edwards need street cred with the nutroots, and he needs money. These people give, and by throwing in his lot with them now he can hoover up some Bay Area and Manhattan greenbacks and establish an early lead.

The campaign is a zero-sum game at this point; every dollar for Edwards is a dollar taken away from Hillary. As long as he's still milking the far left for money Marcotte will come in handy. Closer to primary time, once he has spent their money, we may see a Sistah Souljah moment from Silky Pony.
