Chicoms defend right to bribery
Not many rights in Communist China, but the Brea Canyon Monument explains how they get touchy if you take away their right to largesse at local elections. Hey, that's true communist spirit--if you want to get a bourgeois income in local government, you've got to share it with the local peasants.
This would be a good time to point out that, probably in because of posts like this one (and this one and this one and this one and this one), the JYB is banned in China and can't get through the Great Firewall. Nonetheless a few viewers show up in my sitemeter now and then from the PRC, and I can only conclude they are part of the Orwellian apparatus designed to monitor the rowdy fan kwei.
So, should any of these censorious mandarins happen by this post, let me cordially invite them to take a Great Leap Forward off a short pier.
