Bloggers Buying Guns, Again

The subject comes up frequently around here. Now after the Virginia Tech shootings, Gerard Van der Leun hied himself to a how-to-shoot class in Seattle.

Forgive my leering, but do check out the picture he posted of his classmates. Long and lean, smooth-operating, a little curvy but all business, too hot to touch...

What? What? The six-inch barreled Colt Trooper Mark III, of course.

The guy in the blue shirt is just a bonus.

I bought a Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum 329 PD, but not for concealed carry. The thing is for any too-curious bear I might encounter while solo backpacking in Wyoming. But I have finished the gun classes and paperwork for my ‘shall issue’ permit. I am looking for a nice .38 revolver. I have no desire to be a sheep if a deranged wolf appears.

I’m taking CCW classes this week. This was scheduled before the VaTech events. But I’m thinking, ‘now, more important than ever’.

Like Mike above, I also have a S&W .44 Mag (an older Model 29) for summer camping trips in the Colorado high country. There are lions and bears up there!
