Gulf of Tonkin. Just Google it.

I may not be up to Rosie O'Donnell's infamous level of skepticism about this attack on the Bolivian embassy in Caracas, but it's pretty fishy:

People's Power Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolás Maduro said Thursday that the perpetrator of an attack early morning on the Bolivian embassy in Caracas is a member of an opposition political party.

"The perpetrator of this terrorist attack on the Bolivian embassy was sacked on the spot; he pleaded guilty; the evidence of the attack was found. This subject is part, based on the early enquiries and his statements, of an organization of the Venezuelan dissent," Maduro explained.

The Foreign Minister linked the event with the issue of non-renewal of a broadcast license for TV channel Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV).

An explosive device blasted Thursday around 5:00 a.m. near the Bolivian embassy, located in eastern Caracas.

The burst caused no injuries or damages, official news agency ABN reported.

More here and here. I am particularly impressed by the case against their chosen scap--um, suspect who just happens to lead an opposition movement to Chavez:
Shortly before the blast near the diplomatic mission located in eastern Caracas, Chacao police officers detained a suspect who was three blocks away from the site.

"The suspect was in a vehicle Chevrolet Wagon R, where materials presumably related to the event were found, including petrol, lighters, tape and cardboard," said Chacao Police chief Carlos Arreaza.

Amazing police work, getting the guy before the bomb went off. It's almost like they knew exactly who they were looking for.

JYB tailwag to,um, Pale Rider.
