I have absolutely no doubt where they are taking this movie, just based on the stupid preview:
And I'm not going to like it.
Like they would use a George Bush voiceover in the trailer if twitchy recently-laid-off gun-owning guy's anti-terror vigilance was supposed to come off as "heroic" instead of "paranoid". Plus it's called...oooh...Civic Duty. I liked it better when it was called Falling Down.
Maybe this is one of those more "nuanced" roles for Middle Easterners I talked about here, phasing out those scores of gung-ho films where there are actual Al Qaeda terrorists as the villains. Remember those? Me neither.
