He's (another) possible link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda, so you won't ever hear it mentioned again after this exclusive interview with PJM's Richard Miniter.
Caution is of course in order; there are strong incentives for Iraqis to make themselves seem more useful and knowedgeable to the Americans than they are. That said, it's a plausible story that really ought to attract some mainstream scrutiny.
One quibble with Miniter's account: Hussein Kamel's wife was actually Saddam's daughter Raghad, not Saddam's sister. And whether she was "forced" to watch her husband's execution is debatable.
