Norah Jones Follows in the Dixie Chicks' Footsteps

Because hatin' on America worked out so well for them:

Like the Dixie Chicks, Jones is a native Texan. At least twice on "Not Too Late," she sings the kinds of things about President Bush that many are reluctant to bring up.

For example, there's this from "My Dear Country," written right after election day in November 2006: "But fear's the only thing I saw/ And three days later it was clear to all/ That nothing is as scary as election day." Then: "Who knows? Maybe the plans will change/ Who knows? Maybe he's not deranged."

Mmm. Reluctant.

Funny: as soon as I saw the headline about "political overtones", I knew exactly which way those lyrics were coming in.

Good for you. My Dad returned Barbara Streisand’s albums after he found out what “stranger in a far land” was about. Its getting harder and harder to find music to listen to that isnt trashing the the real Patriots in our country. No matter what mistakes he has made, George Bush is a great American and has our countries best interests at heart. Although I will say that I am worried about his bill on immigration.
