VRWC Memo: “Senator Grahamnesty” to be retired

Memo
From: VRWC-HQ
To: Our minions
Re: Lindsey Graham’s nickname

It has come to our attention that many of you are referring to Senator Lindsey Graham (R—Oaxaca) as “Senator Grahamnesty”. While this is both useful and appropriate, a new internet sensation has emerged that requires a change in our protocol.

From henceforth, Senator Graham will be referred to as “Dramatic Chipmunk”.

The reasons for this change should be obvious.

Please make a note of this change in the margins of your VRWC style book. Your compliance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

FYI, I and at least one other person I know requested a return of our campaign contributions from Jon Kyl on the grounds that he defrauded us in that he had pledged to never support amnesty and then flip-flopped on the issue, becoming a major advocate amnesty. Also, as you are probably aware, the 2004 Republican Party Platform states the party opposes amnesty for illegal aliens:

We oppose amnesty because it would have the effect of encouraging illegal immigration and would give an unfair advantage to those who have broken our laws. (Page 79.)

The Platform is at: http://www.azgop.org/About/

We are planning to publicize the refunds. I suggest you mount a similar campaign against Lindsey Grahamnesty demanding refunds from his campaign. As you undoubtedly know, he’s up for reelection in 2008. Refunds will do two things: deplete available funds for his primary contest and, if you can get some media coverage, remind voters that he violated the Republican Party Platform not to mention any similar promises he may have made to South Carolinians about never supporting amnesty for illegal aliens.

Thanks,

Dan
