I've been curious to see what the WSJ editorial board had to say about the surprising defeat of the comprehensive immigration bill they were so invested in. So here's a link to a transcript of the Journal Editorial Report on Fox News, in which they discuss the week's top stories.

I think you'll find the way in which they discuss this issue very enlightening.

UPDATE: Comprehensive POS supporter Fred Barnes addresses the matter forthrightly in the Weekly Standard, noting how many of the last minute no votes were up for re-election in 2008. Hmmm....
