Lybrel Lies (Sacrilege/ Palomino! update)

Orwellian euphemisms from Planned Parenthood.

You know, even if you consider yourself somewhat pro-choice, I would think the catastrophic lifestyle advice pouring out of Planned Parenthood's propaganda mills ought to set off some alarm bells. Especially since your tax dollars are going to pay for their proselytizing.

It might alarm you if a cool quarter-billion a year of governmental money went to, say, the Southern Baptist Convention or the Latter-Day Saints to promote what is (disregarding whatever you might think of their theology) sound and salubrious ethical and moral advice.

Planned Parenthood--though they may take some theological positions of their own--gets that much tax money every year not just to subsidize their abortion mills, but also to teach your kids how to masturbate.

Let me ask you something:

Are your kids really that stupid?

MORE:

Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, which produced this infamous farce, uses "angels" to sell safe sex--and when the dude finds a providential rubber, the girl says Amen!

Your tax dollars at work.

From the PPGG Press Release on the ad:

"I love the fact that this ad challenges popular conceptions of religion and sexuality," said Lisa Sargent, Chaplain at Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. "I think it will really break through the clutter and get people thinking about sexual responsibility as part of their larger value system, which may be religiously influenced."

Now that I have this written I see that Dawn covered the new ad in April. Oh well. It's still outrageous. Oh well, one thing is left to be said: Palomino!

This site provides a transcript of the ad.

And this site presents us with a long letter by Lisa Sargent concerning her faith and reproductive rights. She’s a Unitarian Universalist, by the way.

Stupid spam filter trashed my comment. Anyway, Lisa Sargent is a Unitarian Universalist. Do a search on “lisa sargent planned parenthood” and a longish letter explaining her views pops up. There’s even a podcast interview with her:

“Planned Parenthood Chaplain

Rev. Dr. David Sammons interviews Lisa Sargent, a SKSM grad serving as the first and only full-time, paid chaplain in California for Planned Parenthood.”

Gad, how awful.

“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.
