Some Authentic Beauchampery

I was initially inclined to give Scott Thomas Beauchamp's dispatches more credibility than it looked like they deserved, because I had watched this Liveleak video (in the extended entry). Some Marines find a gross Milky Way bar in a dead insurgent's pocket...and eat it.

Hilarity, barfing, and profanity ensues.

It's hilarious and quite unnerving--especially when the repulsed Marine shouts that it tastes "like a dead body smells". None of this has the deranged weirdness that Beauchamp affected--I can't see thes young men laughing at a burn victim--but this is a pretty bizarre tension breaker all the same. It's not quite your everything-is-hunky-dory stateside party trick, you know?

I mean, when I'm going to eat a candy bar I find in a dead man's pockets I sure don't let people film it.
