More Reichstag Politics at GWU
Not sure exactly what the angle is with this piece on the GWU controversy. Remember at GWU a group of leftists put up a bunch of offensive "we hate muslims" posters around campus that identified the group responsible as the Young America's Foundation chapter.
George Washington University President Steven Knapp has no plans to take disciplinary action against a group of students involved in an anti-Muslim flier hoax, a university spokeswoman said yesterday. Why would we expect the university president to unilaterally expel these jokers without the judicial policies working? That's the same process I would have argued for had YAF been charged with this incident. Now, if I understand what happened correctly, then this kind of sleazeweasel trick deserves expulsion, and I hope Kokesh, Tierney, and the other five moonbats involved, who've admitted to posting the flyers, get kicked out of GWU promptly."We have established judicial policies and procedures," university spokeswoman Tracy Schario said. "I am confident that President Knapp will let them take their course."
However, Mr. Knapp "reserves the right to intervene" in the university's student-judicial process, she said.
But I can't see where throwing them out via self-righteous presidential decree is the right way to do it.
