Good news! Ties are back in among my young, hip demographic.
Bad news! Butt-ugly ties are back in among my young, hip demographic:

It may boast a trendy label like Alexander Olch or Band of Outsiders. Slightly offbeat in a laid-back way — the Wes Anderson of the accessory world — the youthful tie is giving the old dress code a much-needed shot in the neck.
As far as business ties go, I am sick of pale blue ties. Obama gets props for that powder-blue tie of his but W has been wearing a slightly different shade of the same solid light-blue tie all during his presidency and gotten no points for it. It never looks serious on either of them.
