Fred impresses some critics

Die-hard McCainiac RightWingSparkle watched Fred Thompson on Meet The Press and was impressed:

But the very last thing he said about his daughter, and it had nothing to do with law or federalism or anything else but reality, he got me.
I think I can be on board now with Fred.

I count his answer as "good enough" and, I think, honest. If he really intends to repeal Roe v. Wade, I'll certainly take him over someone who promises the moon but delivers very little.

Interestingly I heard DA Arthur Branch give almost exactly the same speech on Roe and federalism on an episode of Law and Order a long time ago--he was talking to the "Is it because I'm a lesbian?" blonde. I wonder if Thompson wrote that speech for his character?

Meanwhile, color die-hard Romneaia...Romnanian...Romnoid Hugh Hewitt favorably impressed with the Frederal Express on Iran:

Senator Thompson hit exactly the right note on Iran on this morning's Meet The Press, and Tim Russert did a great job in giving the looming confrontation with Iran the time it deserves.

Any American who doesn't understand Thompson's reference to the "12th Imam" should blame the MSM for a fundamental failure to report the crucial facts about the mullahs and their operatives, their ambitions and their ideology.

Ian Schwartz has video of the whole interview. Sounds like a good time.
