Speaking Truth To Stupid
Karol corrects the Truthers in an honest debate. Why bother? Here's why:
When I agreed to do this debate, I had so many people ask me why I would do something like this. They felt I was giving legitimacy to what they consider a crackpot segment of our population. I’m not doing this for the people in the “Investigate 9/11” shirts, I’m not trying to change their minds, if they’ve got the shirt I guess they’re pretty committed. I’m also not doing this so that people who agree with me can nod their heads. I’m doing it so there can be a record of opposition to the people that support these conspiracy theories, lest they somehow find their place into our history books.Good for her.
Meanwhile Potfry takes on the movie business. Which is funny because Wuzzadem did the same thing and the "Lions for Lambs" marketers yanked Wuzzadem's sponsorship. I wrote back to Potfry to point that out, and he wrote back:

I find it mighty ironic that they resort to using the Chesterton/ Aaron Tippin quote about
If you don’t stand for something you might fall for anything
to advance a liberal agenda.
As for me, I spent the evening in another quixotic endeavor on the local-politics front. Just bear in mind ol' See-Dub was standing up for the Rule of Law for you. The smackwangles ignored my carefully drafted speech and preferred to kiss rich developer patootie, but the See-Dub clan set 'em straight.
It was a moral victory. That's it.
