An Obituarist's Obituary
When a master writer of quirky obituaries dies, who writes his obit? Everyone--Geoffrey Wheatcroft, Mark Steyn(himself quite a deft hand at the form), and recent transplant to old Blighty S. Weasel all remember the Telegraph's eccentric and encyclopedic sendoff-man, Hugh Massingberd.
Doesn't S. Weasel have one of the coolest-looking blogs out there? I guess you can do that stuff when you're a graphic-artsy type.
MORE: I think I linked to some of Massingberd's work in this post on Spann and Lindh. It's because of Massingberd I heard of a British hero named Sgt. Paul "Scruff" McGough.
NOTE: The misplaced apostrophe in the headline has been fixed, and the JYB News Bureau's copy editor has been sacked. Sure, his family will be evicted on New Year's Eve into the cold Arctic snow, but is that my problem? He should have been watching his apostrophes.
