Dude (UPDATED)
I haven't even heard Romney's speech, but apparently I don't even need to:
Mitt Romney's "Faith in America" speech was simply magnificent, and anyone who denies it is not to be trusted as an analyst.Whatever, Hugh. Does it get a solid B+?
I don't mind pundits stumping for their guy if they've got strong feelings about someone in the race, but a blanket charge of bad faith and/or incompetence for anyone who could possibly disagree with them is way outta line.
MORE: Allah is not to be trusted as an analyst!
MORE: Whole thing's right up front at Mitt's site. It is a very good speech, and I was pleased to hear make make a point (at about nineteen minutes in) about empty cathedrals in Europe that I made here.
UPDATE: And again I say, objectively, Dude.
I'm with Bryan:
I liked Romney’s speech quite a bit, but Hugh is making out like it was the St. Crispin’s Day speech as delivered by Winston Churchill in the Sistine Chapel on the first Christmas with Nazi bombers overhead.
