Evil Dictators Review Video Game

This is old, I guess, but I'd never seen it. To understand it you need to know that there's a "martyrdom" feature in the multiplayer game being reviewed here that allows you to drop a live grenade when your character gets killed, thus potentially taking out the guy who just shot you...and also thereby preventing him from taking part in an unsavory victory ritual practiced in certain online-gaming communities...

Got that? Roll 'em, A-Jad, and note that there is a mildish content warning here:

Other reviews were filed by Castro, Qaddafi, Putin (!) and Kim Jong Il.

If I didn't know better I'd say the TNOYF guys were behind these (especially the Qaddafi one). Even though there's an ESRB rating it comes off like an unofficial effort, though that might just be an attempt at viral marketing. In any case, it's nice to see an un-PC slap at evil dictators used to promote a product. And it's weird how "edgy" and "underground" these ads feel when ridicule of tyrants ought to be commonplace.

Great marketing, whoever did it.
