Hillary's "Macaca" moment: mentions soiled Oval Office carpet, tells Hispanic audience to bring their brooms and vacuums.
As I've said before, even though she thinks it is a politically useful metaphor, Hillary should probably refrain from mentioning the messy Oval Office rug or carpet.
Hillary should also probably not ask any sort of people to bring their brooms to the White House, because when I hear that I think she's going to hot-wire them and fly away.
But most importantly Hillary, or anybody, when speaking to Hispanic voters, shouldn't say this:
She told the crowd that she is going to need their help cleaning up the White House and suggested they bring their brooms and vacuum cleaners to help.
JYB Tailwag: HA Headlines.
UPDATE: Allah says, no, it's not a Macaca moment ,and she says this broom line all the time. Which I noted at the first link. Then why specify "Latino audience" in the headlines?
Well, it's because Allah thinks a "Macaca moment" is when you reveal to the world you're a secret racist, just like he thinks George Allen did.
Whereas I think it's when you make a probably innocent, but extremely ill-advised choice of words that make you look like a racist tool in the circumstances...just like George Allen did.
Of course in George Allen's case the media was there to interpret it for us. They're a little more charitable on politicians with a "D" after their names.
