Wow, Hello Kitty really is getting all macho (COLD WAR UPDATE)
Sean M. recently linked to a story about how "Hello Kitty" is butching up for inclusion on men's clothing. Apparently, it's not just for five-year-old girls anymore. I had a hard time believing that any self-respecting male would allow himself to be caught dead in a Hello Kitty T-shirt, but self-respect is a concept fighting off a hostile takeover by "self esteem", a concept in which anything you want to wear that makes you feel special is just peachy, sugar plum, including a faceless cartoon kitten with a bow on its head.
But: it now appears I have greatly underestimated the resourcefulness of the Hello Kitty marketers:

The first HK AR?
You know you want to check out the story on that.

UPDATE: Hello Kitty arms race! I think the AR wins on style, but the AK is rugged, reliable...and adorable!
