Good interview on Fox

Nice interview with Michelle here. Ordinarily I don't bother linking news interview clips* since most of them discuss issues we've already hashed out in the blogosphere, but this is a good few minutes in which MM gets two good questions:

I. Why isn't the press making more of Spitzer's party and the relevance of his disgrace to presidential politics?

II. Then she gets asked the question I'd like to hear asked of more conservatives: what does John McCain have to do to win you over?

Answer, no hesitation: get rid of Juan Hernandez. That'd be a start, yep. We're still looking for some condiments for this sandwich.

Of course most conservatives have either gone all-out wahoo for McCain, or bunkered up with a crate of MRE's and a short-wave radio until 2012. Neither of these do us any good. This is one of those rare cases when the middle ground between those extremes actually is the smart play and not just a matter of mush-headed sentiment.

*Or unless somebody accidentally says a naughty word. Also, doses of embarrassing truth from pert Scottish lasses directed to Tucker Carlson get linked, if several days late. I'm kinda busy here.

Yep. I agree. I thought Republicans were going to have a conversation about our nominee between now and the convention.

I haven’t figured out what the least bad option is in November. I was hoping we could have a little back and forth about that. “Shut up and get in line” wasn’t the conversation I had in mind. Punctuated with the occastional and even more extraordinary, “then we don’t want your vote.”

Aren’t they supposed to be smooching my butt and stuff?

When this race started I vowed to vote for the best “Not the Hillary” choice. As the race went on my horizons broadened and I vowed to vote for the best “Not the Hillary/not the Obama” choice. Now my choice is clear.

I have differences with John McCain, but I respect him. I cannot say the same for the Democratic candidates.

I’m with you USBeast. I however will take it a step further. If one of the democratic candidates gets elected then i’m going to move to Canada. Not that I don’t love my country, but I would like to live in a nation that DOESN’T have a target painted on it. After all getting blown up can really wreck your day.

Well, I’m going to spend the next months doing political math. They’re all three dreadful. Clearly, McCain is the least dreadful of the three, but he might also be the most effective in ramming through some of his more dreadful ideas. So, what’s the least bad option: a bad guy who gets 80% of what he wants or a truly awful guy who gets 20% of what he wants?

Or, to put it another way, I’m going to vote for whatever option I think will create the most gridlock. And, on that note, for goodness sakes go out and get involved in the Congressional races! We need actual conservatives in the legislative more than ever.

Hilary - 08 Spitzer- 09

Same, same and it looks better.
