If lovin' the Lord is wrong, I don't wanna be Rev. Wright!
Listen carefully to the cadence and inflection of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who is Senator Obama's "spiritual adviser". Don't pay attention to what he actually says or you'll get angry and punch a hole in your monitor. Just listen to how he says it:
Where have I heard that before? Well, the other day I happened to link to a hard-to-find clip from Coming to America--a clip of the Reverend Brown, played by Arsenio Hall. There's actually two of them clips of him on that Killerclips.com site, and I think you'll agree the similarity is uncanny. Follow the link, and click "continue" in the window in the top left:
If lovin' the Lord is wrong, I don't want to be right!
God above, the Hugh Hefner on high...
Back here I called Coming to America one of the most pro-American movies ever made. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
P.S. Right now, given the attention finally focused on the Reverend Wright, I have a suspicion that Obama is thinking whether he can get away with saying, "you know what? Those guys on the far right were absolutely right. I am a secret Muslim and I have nothing to do with Rev. Wright--it was all an elaborate deception. Allahu Akbar."
A.M. UPDATE: More Wright stuff. Heh.
