One million, five hundred thousand victims
That's how many poor schlubs have been subjected to the JYB's special blend of toxic wingery and wild-eyed demagoguery as of yesterday afternoon. It's many more than that, of course; Bryan didn't get a sitemeter count rolling until February of 2005, and Junkyard Blog has been around since December of 2001!
In any case, thanks to all of you who stop by here and those of you who find my stuff worth linking to or quoting. It's meant a lot to me that people think about stuff I've written, and it's a great incentive for me to keep at it and make it better.
I don't have any illusions that I am making a difference--just ask Republican Presidential Nominee Fred Thompson about what a difference I make. Which is no doubt for the best: I'd probably get unreadable very quickly if I were writing to EFFECT SOCIAL CHANGE or some high-minded BS like that. Nonetheless I take a lot of pleasure in this (admittedly somewhat one-sided) conversation I've been running here since Mister Preston gave me the keys almost two years ago. Living in a blue state and working in a blue industry, this sort of conversation about politics, culture, and random goofiness is a welcome luxury (though perhaps one I've overindulged).
Anyway, it's nice to know I'm not just talking to myself, so again, thanks.
